If you're 18 or under, bus travel within the York area can cost less than standard fares and passes if you show a YOzone card to the bus driver each time you buy or use a child or young person's ticket or pass.

The YOzone 11 to 16 card is available for free to any young person aged 11 to 16 years, who lives or studies in the City of York Council area.
YOzone 11 to 16 cards are valid until 31 August after your 16th birthday.

The YOzone 16 to 18 card is available for free to any young person aged 16 to 18 years, who lives or studies in the City of York Council area.
Apply for you YOzone 16 to 18 card during August, when you've completed Year 11 of school, and as soon as you know which school or college you'll be attending in Year 12.
Apply for a YOzone card online via the City of York Council website; you can get a new card, or renew or update your existing card.

Stolen cards are replaced free of charge if you provide a valid police reference number.
