Temporary Closure of York to Selby Cycle Path

A short section of the York to Selby Cycle Path will be affected by works being undertaken by Highways England’s contractors during April.  

The section runs between the Sim Balk Lane Bridge and the junction of the path where the large sculpture of the Sun is located.

Diversion signs will be in place to direct people to use the section of Sim Balk Lane running alongside York College and the Tadcaster Road toucan crossing opposite the College to rejoin the main path next to the Askham Bar Park & Ride site.

The closure will be in place over the following dates and times:

*The works will be taking place on the adjacent A64 but may affect the path sometimes.  If the path won’t be affected it will stay open.  They have agreed to marshal path users through the works area when it is safe to do so i.e. when they are jetting out the culvert.
